Nekkid Cake
4 layers Red Velvet Cake with 3 layers tiramisu cream cheese frosting. Coated with dark chocolate cream, decorated with sugar roses.

Tim Burton Collab
Happy 55th Birthday, Mr Tim Burton!
To celebrate the birthday of American film director, producer, writer, artist and animator, 100 cake decorators from around the world have collaborated to create an edible collage worthy of the man with Hollywood’s most incredible imagination and enduring passion for all things bizarre!
The idea was hatched in March 2013 by our brilliant little leader; Tracey of Little Cherry Cake Company (T-Cakes), who is a BIG fan of Tim Burton. Popularity, renown and ability were not criteria for inclusion – just a willingness to work hard together and create something unique. Soon we rounded up our 100 team members and it was all systems go!
Each character has been recreated in sugar form; cake, cookies, butter cream, fondant, royal icing, modelling chocolate and other edible mediums. Our Burtonesque bakers embraced their inner Burton, stepped out of their comfort zones and stamped their own styles all over their chosen characters. You have got to see it to believe it
I chose Katrina from Sleepy Hollow because I'm so in love with this movie from the first time I saw it.
She is made of fondant and modelling chocolate. It took me hours and hours sculpting her face and body due to the very hot weather/summer in The Netherlands. Pppsssttt... I have no airconditioner in my kitchen :(.
This project has been amazing. I trully stepped out of my comfort zone. Creating something "real" but still edible. It has been an amazing journey working together with 99 amazing talented people from around the world. Burtonesque baker, I'm proud of you guys!
